People may obtain residence in New Zealand by investing there:
There are two categories:
- Investor Plus (Investor 1 Category), and
- Investor (Investor 2 Category)
Requirements
Investor
- be aged 65 or younger
- Have at least 3 years’ business experience
- Have at least NZ $1 million settlement funds
- Have an English-speaking background or minimum English of IELTS 3
- Invest NZ $1.5 million in New Zealand for four years
- Spend at least 146 days in New Zealand for each of the last three years of investment
Investor Plus
This is similar to the category above but there is now age limit or business experience requirements. There is also no English language requirements
Requirement
- Invest $NZ 10 million in New Zealand for three years
- Spend at least 14 days in New Zealand in each of he last two years of investment
