The Subclass 888 visa is available under six different streams, depending on your previous visa and the nature of your business or investment activity in Australia:

Stream-by-Stream Eligibility Breakdown
- Business Innovation Stream
This stream is for applicants who:
- Hold a Subclass 188 visa in the Business Innovation or Business Innovation Extension stream
or
Hold a Subclass 444 (Special Category) or Subclass 457 (in certain cases) - Demonstrate ongoing business involvement
- Have complied with Australian business laws
- Show active management and participation in the business
2. Investor Stream
For investors who:
- Hold a Subclass 188 visa in the Investor stream
- Have maintained a designated investment of AUD 1.5 million in an Australian state or territory for at least 4 years
- Have a genuine commitment to continuing investment activities in Australia
3. Significant Investor Stream
To qualify, you must:
- Hold a Subclass 188 visa in the Significant Investor or Significant Investor Extension stream
- Have held a complying investment of AUD 5 million for a minimum of 4 years
- Intend to continue your investment in Australia
4. Premium Investor Stream
This premium pathway requires that you:
- Have held a Subclass 188 visa in the Premium Investor stream for at least 12 months
- Maintained a complying investment of AUD 15 million during your time on the visa
- Have a continued interest in significant investment or philanthropy in Australia
5. Entrepreneur Stream
This stream is for entrepreneurs who:
- Have held a Subclass 188 visa in the Entrepreneur stream for at least 4 years
- Have resided in Australia for at least 2 years while holding the visa
- Can demonstrate a successful track record of entrepreneurial activity, such as commercialisation of products or services or establishment of a successful business
