Cyprus Student Visa

International students who come wish to study in Cyprus need a student visa, have to register their stay and get a temporary residence permit upon arrival. They are not allowed to work full-time. They may renew their temporary residence permit for the duration of their studies.

TRAVEL WARNINGS OF CYPRUS

Cyprus is divided into Republic of Cyprus and Turkish-controlled northern area. You cannot cross the border at all points. Use official checkpoints only.
Petty theft occurs in tourist areas and on beaches. Do not leave valuables unattended and keep hotel rooms locked.
Traffic accidents are common. Roads can be narrow and drivers may speed. Drive on the left side and be careful on rural roads.
Strong currents and rip tides happen at some beaches. Swim only in areas with lifeguards and follow warning flags.
Unexploded landmines remain near the buffer zone. Do not enter marked areas or pick up unknown objects.
