Switzerland Student Visa
There are two types of student visas, depending on the duration of your studies in Switzerland.
- C Visa – is a short-stay visa which is for courses that are up to 90 days, such as language schools, summer schools etc.
- D visa – is a long-stay visa for students studying in Switzerland for a period longer than 180 days. International students are granted a Schengen visa for a period of one year with the possibility of extension.

- Roads in alpine regions are steep and winding. Some passes close in winter. Use winter tires and check road conditions before driving.
- Sudden storms and rockfalls occur in mountain areas. Follow warning signs and avoid hiking during bad weather.
