Requirements for the child
- under the age of 18 on the date of application living in the UK, and
- a British citizen or settled in the UK
Requirement for the applicant parent:
A parent may apply if:
- the applicant has sole responsibility ro the child or the child normally lives with their parent and not their other parent; or
- the parent or carer that the child normally lives with is a British citizen or settled in the UK, but is not the applicant’s partner and the applicant does not qualify for a partner/spouse visa.
