TRAVEL WARNINGS OF DOMINICA

  • Hurricane season runs from June to November. Storms can cause flooding and landslides. Check weather updates before travel.
  • Roads are narrow, winding, and poorly lit in mountain areas. Drive slowly and avoid night travel if possible.
  • Petty theft can happen in tourist areas. Keep valuables secure and lock hotel rooms and rental cars.
  • Hiking trails can be slippery and dangerous after rain. Use a local guide and carry proper gear.
  • Medical facilities are limited outside Roseau. Travel insurance with evacuation coverage is recommended.
