TRAVEL WARNINGS OF PORTUGAL
- Pickpocketing and bag snatching happen in tourist areas. Be careful in Lisbon, Porto, and on public transport like trams and trains.
- Wildfires occur in rural areas during hot, dry summers. Follow local alerts and evacuation orders if you are near affected zones.
- Strong ocean currents and rip tides exist along the Atlantic coast. Swim only at beaches with lifeguards and obey warning flags.
