TRAVEL WARNINGS OF AFGHANISTAN
Most governments advise against all travel to Afghanistan due to terrorism, armed conflict, kidnapping, and civil unrest.
Foreign nationals may face wrongful detention, harassment, or kidnapping, and consular assistance is extremely limited because many embassies are closed.
Terrorist attacks can happen at any time, including in public places such as markets, hotels, mosques, airports, and government buildings.
Road travel is dangerous due to poor road conditions, robberies, kidnappings, land mines, and unexploded explosives in some areas.
Medical facilities are very limited, emergency services are unreliable, and many medicines available locally may be counterfeit or unsafe.
